A church for rich , trendy, young, white , people... You will never meet the pastor here, because he is never there and does not associate with church members. He is too busy making himself famous. The church is too big, you can walk in and out unnoticed. You will get a comical general message about God's love from video. If I were watching video I would rather do it from my own home and go to a smaller church to find better fellowship in a more diverse (non-fake) less superficial atmosphere. Some where I could actually shake the pastor's hand I would potentially tithe too. City Church. Is not for those who dislike large crowds and rock concerts. That's what you will get here. P.S Since when do pastors wear ripped jeans on the pulpit? Have some decency.

My son and I love this church. We go for the message which always manages to teach AND be entertaining. And when Judah teaches, one is never bored! If you are a young man or woman, this is a great place to meet others IF you make an effort to socialize. You can either go in and right out, or hang around and meet some other young people. It IS a church for young people, mostly, but older people like myself are welcomed. All types of clothing can be seen...many of the young women get dressed to the nines. I don't think I've ever seen so many good-looking young people in my life! If you are looking for a mate AND someone who is a believer, this is a good place to go.
This church is truly Jesus-centered except when they close the doors for a Seahawks game :-( Judah, the head preacher, always has a great sermon...he is so gifted. Guest speakers are usually pretty good. They have live music and hip musicians...but bring along your earplugs if you have sensitive ears!
You, admittedly, lose something when a church gets this big, but I'd rather get a really good sermon than go to a smaller church and have to converse with other people. I LIKE walking in and then getting out! I grew up in the Methodist church with an uncle and grandfather as preachers. I've had enough of the small church experience where the sermon tends to put you to sleep and you have to sing The Old Rugged Cross and Bringing in the Sheaves and then you file out and have to shake hands with the preacher! This church suits me just fine.Added April 09, 2017 by Agnes Smith
